The Folly of the Cross

The gospel seems to be viewed in so many different ways. Some hate it and some love it, unbelievers included. There are so many reactions, so will we ever truly know how people feel about it? Well God's word helps us to cut through much of it, to show us that without him all will see the gospel as foolish. But let us explore why people react the way they do, and whether or not we maybe need to change how we approach our unbelieving friends and family, as we continue our series through the gospel of Mark.

The Unexpected Way to Glory

Don't all of us want glory? We all want to be admired, and appreciated? But Jesus is going to show us that the way we go about seeking glory is often wrong, and that rather by seeking him and his righteousness, not the admiration of others. We will find glory and true recognition from God.

The cross is the token symbol of Christianity. A symbol that once meant excruciating suffering now means salvation. The cross is our salvation, but it is also the example Jesus set for us, as the way into the kingdom of God.
